Future Success: Marissa

Marissa

University of Wisconsin – Madison

“The Future Center at Central has greatly helped both my high school and college life. Ms. Moe’s door was always open for help anytime I needed it when writing essays for college and scholarships.”

Ms. Moe advised her about writing and editing college essays and suggested helpful revisions on them. She has also helped  Marissa by guiding her to find a major.

“She helped me find something that I would enjoy and see myself doing as a career after college. I would tell other students that meeting Ms. Moe is one of the best gifts I have been given.”

As a first born child, Marissa said didn’t really know what to do about college, and  she needed her advisor to guide her on the path to college and to teach her the basics of applying to a university.

“She also pushed me to succeed in current classes and that was my motivation throughout the four years I have attended Central. The Future Center has been the best resource at school in any category; I seek help at the Future Center far more than I seek help with any other staff.

“She helped  me solidify my choices. I don’t believe that I would have been as successful, less stressed, or generally as happy during the last years of high school without Ms. Moe’s help.

“She has had a tremendously positive impact on my life and I will always be grateful for everything she has done for me.”
