La Crosse Promise “Neighborhood Time Travels” Walking Tour Series starts Thursday, June 15. Join storyteller Michael Scott (left), the creator of La Crosse’s Old School Variety Show, on this leisurely FREE tour highlighting the history and heritage of the Washburn and Powell-Poage-Hamilton Neighborhoods that are eligible for LaCrosse Promise Scholarships.
Tour begins (light rain or shine) at 6 p.m. and starts from the Southside Neighborhood Center at 6th and Farnam. To sign up please call 608.789.2049 or email info@lacrossepromise.org.
The tour runs about 75 minutes and includes several newly built La Crosse Promise Neighborhood homes. Additional tour dates are August 12 (11 a.m.), September 7 (6 p.m.) and October 14 (11 a.m.).
