La Crosse Promise Executive Director La Crosse Promise is seeking a full-time Executive Director (ED). The Executive Director will lead the efforts to support the vision and mission of the organization. As the chief fundraiser, the ED will oversee the planning, organizing and implementation of successful multi-million dollar campaigns. As the public face, the ED will lead and energize employees, board members, volunteers and stakeholders to embrace the mission and vision of the Promise. The ED will direct the Futures Center in its mission to connect students and families to all resources necessary to achieve post high school goals and ensure a successful future by fostering a culture where every student believes they can go as far in education as they desire. The ED must have the ability to see the larger picture, while skillfully managing the day-to-day details of the organization. A high level of communication and organizational skills are a must.

A bachelor’s degree is required. Fundraising experience, including leadership with fundraising campaigns and major donor cultivation is preferred. Leadership and/or supervisory experience a must. Having that experience in the not-for-profit realm is helpful. Also helpful for candidate to have experience and/or working knowledge of grant writing, membership recruitment, marketing, and donor database software. Experience in the field of education and/or economic development is a plus.

Compensation commensurate with experience.
