Amanda brings extensive experience in philanthropy and nonprofit leadership and is excited to lead La Crosse Promise in its mission to create an education-focused community while revitalizing La Crosse’s core neighborhoods. With programs like the Future Centers and the Neighborhood Revitalization Program, La Crosse Promise is driving positive social and economic change. Amanda’s leadership will play a vital role in continuing to support youth in their pursuit of education, future readiness, and in driving the region’s growth and viality.

Millard grew up in West Salem, but has lived in La Crosse since graduating from UW-La Crosse with a degree in Mass Communications.  She worked in radio and television for many years, before transitioning to the world of marketing and public relations.  Most recently she helped people with varying abilities reach their employment dreams and goals.

Millard is a proud Rotarian, having been a member of Rotary East for more than 20 years and currently serves as the Club Administrator.  She has been a past President, Rotarian of the Year-twice,  and a Paul Harris Fellow.  She has been chair of the Interact Steering Committee for several years, overseeing the seven area high school Interact clubs. She has served on the board of directors for the La Crosse Curling Club and is a Certified Curling Instructor. Music is also a passion, as she plays the French Horn  in the La Crosse Concert Band and Da Capo Band.

You’ll often find her walking or hiking in the La Crosse, or reading a good book. She never misses watching a Packer game and loves marshmallow peeps.
